Clare Azzougarh was educated at SOAS (London, UK) and at Beijing Normal University and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Chinese (2003) and then later at Shenzhou Open University in Amsterdam and graduated with a Diploma Cum Laude in TCM and Acupuncture (2023). Mentored by Narelle White from Australia, who specializes in Toyohari and Kiko Matsumoto style forms of Japanese acupuncture, Clare spent two years shadowing Narelle at her clinic. Then later trained in shonishin pediatric treatments with Stephen Birch in Amsterdam. Clare specializes in women’s health and maternity acupuncture specifically, and regularly treats children using shonishin techniques. Prior to qualifying in acupuncture Clare became a peer to peer breastfeeding counselor (La Leche League) and founded the Positive Birth group in Morocco, where she splits her time between running an olive and saffron farm and working in the UK.
