For the last 25 years Elaine has worked as an Emergency Medical Technician 2 with the Paramedic Emergency Service in the Northwest of England. In 2011 she qualified as a Bowen therapist with the College of Bowen studies and since then has done numerous additional courses to enhance her treatment skills including The Emmett technique; Fascia Bowen; Integral Anatomy; The importance of symmetry.

In 2022 she completed her diploma and qualified as a TCM acupuncturist also using the skills of cupping, moxabustion and electroacupunture.  As much of the Bowen technique is based around acupuncture points she feels that having knowledge and skills in the two types of treatment will enhance her understanding of people’s complaints which will lead to a more directed treatment.
